Guadeloupe
LSF takes part in various actions on the territory of Guadeloupe (seat of the association) such as:
- Initiating creative projects
- The sale of products
- The organisation of events
Events and actions:
- Sale of 100 prints of the photograph “Woman from afar” (sponsor of the initiative Daniel Goudrouffe, Guadeloupian photographer)
- Action: “1000 trimarans on the Himalayas”. This involves the sale of models of a trimaran for 4 euros each, together with instructions on how to assemble them to mark the race of the “Route du Rhum”. (A transatlantic solo race held between Brittany and Guadeloupe every four years).
- Action: “1000 school calendars from here for elsewhere” (in September 2007). Within the same framework, this initiative was inspired by the history of Guadeloupe which is recounted using photographs taken by the pupils of a school in Pointe à Pitre. At a cost of 2 Euros, buyers could complete the calendar using events of their choice, thus introducing them to the local culture and heritage.
- Action: A “cakes and sorbet fair” (November 2007) was held within the framework of an event organised by the association Shaktikalari, « Tandava, the dance of Shiva, encounter and presentation of martial arts, dance and music through the history of India and Buddhism.
- Action: “Children draw for children” (December- January 2007-2008), in partnership with the workshop for plastic arts of the Moov’Art association, through the sale of greeting cards.
- Participation in the Torch Relay for the Rights of Man Saturday 29 May, 2008 at Fort Fleur d’Epée in Gosier. (Songs and poetry)
- Organising bingo evenings between May and June 2008 with 840 bingo cards.
- Holding a sport and culture day and a rural lunch at Paradis de Montalègre on 22 June 2008 in Port Louis.
- Holding a sale of greeting cards 2008-2009 (1000 copies) December- January (with the painter Oliday, Guadeloupe)
- The holding of a sport and cultural day and of a rural lunch at Paradis of Montalègre on 22 June 2009 in Port Louis in collaboration with the association Ti moun Koté Haïti.
- Taking part in International Non-Violence Day organised by the association “Friends of India” on 2 October 2009 at Petit-Canal.
